Jipyong Labor Group issues “Major Labor Cases and Administrative Interpretations of 2023”

On March 12, Jipyong Labor Group published 'Major Labor Cases and Administrative Interpretations of 2023'. 
 
The booklet is a compilation of major labor cases and columns introduced by Jipyong Labor Group in its newsletter over the past year, as well as administrative interpretations published in E-Labor (HR and labor-related practical information sharing network). It is the fifth volume of a legal case book, following 'Major Labor Cases and Labor Columns of 2019', 'Major Labor Cases of 2020', 'Major Labor Cases of 2021', and 'Administrative Interpretations of Major Labor Cases of 2022'. 
 
The table of contents is divided into ▲individual labor relations, ▲irregular employment, ▲collective labor relations, ▲labor columns, and ▲major administrative interpretations. 
  
"Keeping up with precedents is something that cannot be put off and must continue unceasingly," said Ji Hyung Kim in his greeting, "Jipyong Labor Group will continue to strive to be of assistance to all those who wish to prevent and resolve labor disputes." 
 
Jipyong Labor Group is led by Ji Hyung Kim, who served as a Supreme Court Justice; Sung Won Yoon, who served as the presiding judge of the Seoul High Court's Labor Division; Soo Saeng Moon, who served as a judge for 21 years and handled various labor cases; and Chang Young Kwon, who is a doctor of labor law and former presiding judge, Sung Soo Kim, the first attorney who graduated from Korea's medical school and is a certified public labor attorney, and Young Hwan Kwon, a former law clerk at the Labor Division of the Seoul High Court and author of the commentaries on labor union law, make the most of their extensive experience and expertise to provide clients with high-quality services that meet their needs. 
 
Jipyong's Labor group provides legal advice on the daily HR management process of companies, including wages, working hours, vacations, and disciplinary actions, as well as on various HR and labor issues arising from restructuring processes such as mergers, corporate division, and layoffs, and issues arising from relations with labor unions. The group also provides consulting services related to the Serious Accidents Punishment Act, the status of employee, and lawful subcontracting, as well as representation in responding to investigations of a violation of the labor standards act and the trade union act. The group has won court decisions acknowledging Jipyong attorneys’ arguments in connection with an injunction claim seeking for the prohibition of illegal protests and occupations by trade unions and has made successful outcomes in various important labor litigation cases (including the status of employees, illegal dispatch, wage peak system, and unfair labor practices, etc.).
