After working as Jipyong LLC attorney who focuses on corporate matters since 2001, Mr. Sueng Dae park embarked on his career in the public service as a prosecutor in 2002 and was appointed to various posts such as the Prosecutor (in charge of financial securities and special affairs) at the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors’ Office, Deputy Chief Prosecutor (Departmental) of the Special Investigation Department III at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office, Department Chief Prosecutor of Criminal Divisions V and VI (in charge of special affairs) at the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors’ Office, Special Investigation Department Chief Prosecutor at the Daegu District Prosecutors’ Office, Special Investigation Department Chief Prosecutor at the Busan District Prosecutors’ Office, Department Chief Prosecutor of Criminal Divisions III at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office, Department Chief Prosecutor of Criminal Divisions VI (in charge of special affairs) at the Suwon District Prosecutors’ Office, and Deputy Chief Prosecutor II at the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors’ Office. Departing from his prosecutorial duties, he returned to JIPYONG in August 2022 and has been providing legal services as a Partner since then.

As a long-time dedicated prosecutor in departments specializing in financial securities and special affairs, Mr. Park handled various financial securities and anti-corruption cases involving secret funds of large corporations, embezzlement, breach of trust, and violation of the Capital Markets Act related to publicly-listed companies, bribery of public officials including members of the National Assembly, corruption in the employment of public institutions and banks, corruption in private schools, religious groups, etc. 

One of the notable contributions he made as a prosecutor was, while serving as a professor at the Institute of Justice, he trained incoming prosecutors of the first-ever and second postgraduates from law schools and helped the successful adoption of the new law school system in Korea by developing curriculum design, writing textbooks, conducting lectures, guidance counseling, and planning. 

Based on his extensive experience and expertise accumulated in the prosecution service, Mr. Park advises on practical measures to respond to the prosecutorial investigations involving financial securities, anti-corruption (special affairs), corporations, public institutions, religious groups, etc., and represents clients in criminal cases related to such matters.
