Mr. Deuk Hun Lee started his career as a civil servant at the Bucheon City Government in Gyeonggi-do and the Ministry of the Interior. After joining the Fair Trade Commission, he worked in different divisions such as the Office of Director for Audit & Inspection, Office of Director for Public Relations, Office of Director for Planning & Budget, Anti-Monopoly Bureau, Business Trade Policy Bureau, and Business Group Bureau, where he accumulated various experience and expertise in fair trade policy and the handling and enforcement of cases involving audit, public relations, the National Assembly affairs, budget, and case investigation (unfair trade practices, unfair subcontracting transactions, unfair support, and private profit-taking behaviors).

Notably, in the Anti-Monopoly Bureau, he oversaw its first-ever due diligence on Korean online marketplaces and the disclosure of large-scale internal transactions of Korean companies, and later took charge of various affairs in the Business Trade Policy Bureau. After the launch of the Business Group Bureau, he took charge of case investigations, continuing to broaden his expertise in the enforcement of subcontracting laws and his experience in hands-on investigations related to the enforcement of laws applicable to unfair support and private profit-taking behaviors.

Since he joined Jipyong in 2022, Mr. Lee has advised clients on various matters based on his extensive knowledge and skills gained from his years-long career in the public service.
