Mr. Pan Soo KIM is a partner in the Finance Group who mainly provides legal advice on Transaction such as Project Finance, Structured Finance, and Equity Finance related to real estate and power generation projects. Mr. Kim is particularly renowned for his expertise in the new and renewable energy power generation business where he represents both power generation business entity and financial institutions and advises on all areas of the Value Chain, including M&A, Financing, and licensing related to new and renewable energy. He also provides legal advice on Fintech, including cryptocurrency and blockchain.

Prior to joining JIPYONG, Mr. Kim was an ICT specialist at SK Telecom where he developed and managed mobile network products for 3 years. He was also a fund manager at Korea Investment Management Co., Ltd., where he established and managed Korea’s very first alternative investment funds, such as carbon funds, oilfield funds, and new and renewable energy funds for the first time in the industry for about 5 years.

Mr. Kim is also a CFA and certified fund manager. He holds a B.A. from Yonsei University and J.D. from Yonsei University Law School.

He is a member of the Korean Bar.
