Mr. Hoon Jong Yu gained extensive experience in occupational accident prevention while performing work environment measurement and occupational health consulting at a specialized industrial health institution. He began his public service career as a labor inspector at the Ministry of Employment and Labor, where he carried out investigations of industrial accidents and serious accidents, workplace supervision, and process safety management inspections and evaluations at the Industrial Accident Prevention Division and the Serious Industrial Accident Prevention Center.

Since 2022, Mr. Yu has led investigations into serious accidents under the Serious Accident Punishment Act at workplaces of various industries and scales as the head of the investigation team at the Regional Major Accident Investigation Division. He also conducted various consulting and education projects to facilitate the early implementation of the Serious Accident Punishment Act.

In 2025, Mr. Yu joined JIPYONG, where he has been providing legal services on the Occupational Safety and Health Act and the Serious Accident Punishment Act, as well as comprehensive consulting services for industrial accident prevention.
