Mr. Seonghoon Yoon is an associate in the REITs and REF Group and provides legal advisory on real estate investment and real estate finance. His practice focuses on real estate transactions and real estate development using REITs, real estate funds, and PFVs. Mr. Seonghoon actively engages in legal advisory to foreign clients.

Specifically, Mr. Yoon provides legal advice on (i) the incorporation of real estate investment companies and asset management companies under the Real Estate Investment Company Act, the establishment of private equity funds under the Capital Markets Act, and the establishment of project financing investment companies under the Act on Restriction on Special Cases Concerning Taxation; (ii) the due diligence on target investment assets such as offices, retail facilities, logistics centers, private rental housing, senior welfare facilities, gas stations, golf courses, and hospitals; and (iii) the legal issues arising from the acquisition and sale of real estate assets and shares of real estate holding companies related to REITs, funds, and PFVs.

Mr. Yoon has particular strength in cross-border real estate transaction advisory representing foreign investors or their contractual counterparts, and regularly provides legal advice on real estate consulting, brokerage, and leasing to foreign real estate leasing, sales, and acquisition advisory firms.

He has also provided legal advice aimed at stabilizing the real estate market, including research services on amendments to the Real Estate Investment Company Act and the Commercial Building Lease Protection Act, as well as legal services on the establishment of funds supporting the normalization of real estate project financing sites. Recently, he has been actively providing legal advice on revised tax laws related to the acquisition and ownership of unsold housing by Corporate Restructuring Real Estate Investment Companies (CR REITs).
