Ms. Heui Song Kim graduated from Seoul National University School of Law in 2016 and is currently a member of the Litigation Group at Jipyong.

Ms. Kim earned B.A. in Political Science at Seoul National University and graduated from Seoul National University School of Law in 2016. She is currently a member of the Litigation Group at Jipyong, where she provides legal advice particularly in the fields of insurance and securities finance.

Ms. Kim provides comprehensive legal advice on the overall insurance industry, including interpretation of insurance contracts, lawsuits and advice on a dispute over insurance, review of basic documents such as insurance policies, etc. and advice on insurance industry-related laws and regulations regarding the operation of insurance companies.

She represented various major domestic insurance companies in not only civil disputes such as claims for compensation and return of unjust enrichment but also criminal disputes such as acts of insurance fraud and defraudation of fees and has demonstrated exceptional litigation ability in the legal principles of insurance.

Ms. Kim has handled a number of large-scale litigations among an investment trader, a collective investment business entity and an investor alleging violations of the Capital Market Act.  In particular, she obtained the Supreme Court’s decision to quash and remand the lower court’s decision in a case in which a securities company fraudulently returned profits to investors from the sale of fund income securities, and then sought recovery from jointly liable parties in proportion to their respective liability.
