Jipyong Attorneys Yong Moon KIM, Sehun KO, Joong Sung AHN, and Jong Hun (Collin) LEE Named “2025 Best Lawyer” in Evaluation Conducted by JoongAng Ilbo and the Korea In-House Counsel Association

Attorneys Yong Moon KIM, Sehun KO, Joong Sung AHN, and Jong Hun (Collin) LEE have been selected as “2025 Best Lawyer” in the annual evaluation jointly conducted by JoongAng Ilbo and the Korea In-House Counsel Association. 
 
The 2025 Best Lawyers announced by JoongAng Ilbo and the Korea In-House Counsel Association is determined based on an evaluation of lawyers who have demonstrated performance in corporate advisory practice areas over the course of the year.  In 2025, Jipyong was recognized across four out of the eleven practice areas—Labor & Employment, Global Finance & Global Dispute Resolution, M&A · PE, and Antitrust & Competition—underscoring the firm’s depth of expertise and proven capabilities in these fields. 
 
Yong Moon KIM, selected as a Best Lawyer in Labor & Employment, is highly regarded for his strength in handling international labor matters, drawing on his experience as a secondee to the International Labour Organization (ILO) in 2015.  Building on this background, he has also advised the Ministry of Employment and Labor and represented clients in disputes arising under the Korea–EU Free Trade Agreement (FTA).  Domestically, he has recently demonstrated outstanding performance by securing a favorable ruling on behalf of a heavy industry company in a lawsuit seeking confirmation of the invalidity of the dismissal of an unregistered executive.  He is also widely recognized for his strong practical acumen, developed through external engagements such as serving as a legal advisory member of the National Labor Relations Commission. 
 
Sehun KO, selected as a Best Lawyer in Global Finance & International Arbitration, has advised Korean companies on a broad range of matters, including overseas capital raising and expansion into Southeast Asia, drawing on his deep understanding of Southeast Asian legal and regulatory frameworks and an established local network.  Furthermore, he was recognized for playing a key role in connection with an overseas energy company’s KRW 1.5 trillion investment in the development of an offshore wind power complex in Korea.  Following his selection in the Overseas Legal Affairs and International Arbitration category last year, he was named a Best Lawyer for the second consecutive year. 
 
Joong Sung AHN, selected as a Best Lawyer in M&A & Private Equity, has advised on 26 cases this year as Head of the Capital Markets & Private Equity Group, with an aggregate transaction value of approximately KRW 3.4 trillion.  Most recently, he represented Korea Investment & Securities and Kiwoom PE, on the acquisition of a controlling stake in Korea Nobel Explosives, which was recognized as an exemplary advisory case. 
 
Jong Hun (Collin) LEE, selected as a Best Lawyer in Antitrust/Competition, was highly evaluated for successfully constructing a defense logic regarding the competition-restrictive effect of a merger between a platform enterprise and a content enterprise during Kakao’s acquisition of SM Entertainment, resulting in his selection as a Best Lawyer for the second consecutive year.
